Cellist Allison Eldredge, a recipient of the coveted Avery Fisher Career Grant and Musical America’s \u201cYoung Artist of the Year\u201d, has played widely nationally and internationally, from London to Moscow to China and Berlin. She has been called \u201ca cellist afraid of nothing\u201d (Chicago Times) with \u201cvirtuosity wholly at the service of the music\u201d (American Fanfare). She gained national attention when Daniel Barenboim invited her to give the first performance of the Elgar concerto which he conducted years after the death of his wife, the celebrated cellist Jacqueline Du Pre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hailed as \u201csuperb\u201d, \u201cincisive\u201d and \u201csonorous and panoramic\u201d (Boston Globe), David Russell maintains a vigorous schedule both as soloist and as collaborator in the U.S. and Europe. He was appointed to the teaching faculty of Wellesley College in 2005 and currently serves as Lecturer and Director of Chamber Music.
