Heinzel Kunsmann Short Bio
Mr. Kunsmann has been a piano teacher at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music since September 2013 and at the Milwaukee High School of the Arts since November 2013. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in piano performance from the University of Kansas which he was granted in December of 2005. His musical interests have taken him throughout the United States as well as to Europe and Asia. Recent performance appearances have included performing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the Lakeshore Symphonic Band, and the Concerto in A minor by Edvard Grieg with the Kettle Moraine Symphony Orchestra. Of the 40 plus students that Mr. Kunsmann currently has, many participate in events such as WSMA, the Federation Festival and the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association auditions.. In addition, they perform twice every year in Mr. Kunsmann’s fall and spring studio recitals held at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music.
