My name is Jennifer Cancio and I'm our violinist/vocalist & founder! I am very unique in the live music event industry because I am both a classically trained violinist and also a revered sound-a-like tribute vocalist, capable of the most angelic to the most powerhouse vocal performances! I was raised listening to and loving almost every genre & decade of music there is and that is exactly what we pride ourselves on playing!
I’m 45 years young and I’m young enough to appreciate the newest and most requested songs and old enough to know all the classics that have stood the test of time and are loved by every generation! There is no special request that we won’t consider! We will work with you to design the music that is truly meaningful & perfect for Your wedding, corporate, private, & special event or venue!
We've heard from our many clients repeatedly, "You can play Anything!", “You sound like the original song!”, “Wow! I didn’t realize a band was playing at first!”, “You can change your voice and sing Anything!”, and “You should really go on The Voice!, You guys are Phenomenal!” It is one thing to be a good singer…but my special talent is that I can shapeshift my voice to sound like some of the most iconic vocalists in modern history while staying true to a wide variety of their vocal styles! I also have a very large vocal range! All members of our band are lead and harmony vocalists, and we have been told that our lush vocal harmonies set us apart from other music groups!

*We are not hobby musicians. We are FULL-TIME PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS, each of us having decades upon decades of professional performance experience. In the last 3 years, we’ve averaged playing almost 200 events per year. We started Leather & Lace Music Productions in 2017. We are based out of Youngstown, OH (NE Ohio/Western PA) but WE ARE WILLING TO TRAVEL! We are known for the technical precision of our playing, our exciting All Requests shows where we play all live requests from the audience, and our warm, interactive, and sometimes comedic banter with our audiences!
*We are one of a very few regional bands that CAN PLAY YOUR ENTIRE WEDDING or CORPORATE EVENT, etc. We have the ability to play, for example, classical music at your wedding ceremony, soft, background music or dinner instrumental music, lively and engaging cocktail hour music, and end the night with powerhouse vocals and a hard hitting dynamic high energy band (dance or rock, etc)… and everything in between! We are known for our very large song library of over 600+ songs and our ability to sound like different bands with every different decade and genre we play! Although we can play a wide variety, we can also play entire nights of just one genre (Examples : Country Night , 80s Night , Holiday Hits , Yaught Rock Night , Songs from 1976 , and so much more, we are always creating new themed shows for our clients!)
*We are not just a band. WE ARE LIVE EVENT MUSIC DESIGNERS. We work alongside you to create the perfect atmosphere, vibe, energy, and desired experiences for your guests and audience. We customize our attire to fit the vibe, theme, and decor/colors of your event. We can offer a handheld wireless microphone for your use for our wedding, corporate, and private events.
*YOU CAN CHOOSE EVERY SONG WE PLAY FOR YOUR EVENT via a link to our event planning app we share upon booking! Or WE CAN DESIGN THE LIVE MUSIC PLAYLIST IF YOU ARE BUSY. We do not play the same playlist at every event like a lot of bands do. We spend time collaborating with our clients & customizing the music to your event vibe, theme, etc. We have over 600+ songs in our song library you can choose from! We can take live requests if you wish at your event. We are also willing to learn your special songs in advance for your event!
*We offer our popular “All Requests” interactive shows for our restaurant/bar and similar venue clients.
*Some events, we interact even more with your guests by performing STROLLING VIOLIN, STROLLING ACOUSTIC GUITAR, & ROAMING SAXOPHONE during certain songs being played by the entire group.
WHAT SIZE BAND CAN WE BOOK?
ACOUSTIC TRIO / HIGH ENERGY 3-PIECE BAND: Our most popular configuration. We can play any vibe from soft background music, engaging cocktail hour music, to lively uptempo/dance music from almost any genere and decade.
ACOUSTIC QUARTET / HIGH ENERGY 4-PIECE BAND WITH ADDED SAXOPHONE: If you want our biggest, fullest, highest energy sound possible, add our saxophone player to our trio to complete our 4 piece high energy dance band! This band size also works well for cocktail hour and dinner music. Our saxophone player also plays the flute which can be perfect for a wedding or any event as well!
ACOUSTIC DUO: Enjoy a classically trained violinist playing every song of your choice, accompanied by your choice of acoustic guitar or piano accompaniment. We offer instrumental only or with angelic or soulful female vocals.
