About

All of us have been musicians most of our lives. Madstone started out as Hester Prynne in 2005. James played cello in 4th grade and by 8th grade, performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC for the Northern Virginia Symphony Orchestra. He has lived all over the world but always played music. He recently toured the country with Roy Orbison Returns. But he always had the Madstone band. Madstone moved to Texas in October 2017. Since then, we are Tom Jones, Joshua Spurling, Casey Stanislaw, Jadan Oliver, and James Stone. Madstone is stronger than ever, more rock, more punch. You are always in for a great show, and great fun.

We have fun and our fans have fun. It’s always a party at a Madstone show. Our next gig is at what they call the Crater Rally. It’s a weekend long biker rally with camping, food, non-stop music, and just a lot of fun. You should be there if you want to get away from the crap this world throws you and you need to get lost in some good rock music. Some music that takes over and consumes your mind for the time you’re there. We’ll put a smile on your face.

Madstone are a three piece indie group that splices rock and country elements together to create a sound that appears older but feels modern. While remaining firmly “rock ‘n’ roll” (listen to the guitar solo on “Mr. Bones Wild Ride” if you want proof), the band leans toward a country sound at times.
