How it Works: Musicians
Your experience with BookLive should be smooth, easy, and transparent. Visit our FAQ for answers to your questions.
You can add more than one performer to your BookLive account so you can get booked as a soloist, band, etc.
Add as much information as you can to your performer profile. This improves your chances of being booked. Include information like the genres you play, a short bio, and upload audio and video samples. Let people know where and when you're playing next with integrated performance calendars. Detailed profiles get booked much more often than profiles without.
You price these bookable packages upfront, and vary them based on whatever you choose - set length, event type (e.g. Bar, Wedding), equipment you’ll provide, and more. The more packages you create, the more bookable you are. Because you describe and price these packages up front, it makes for a lightning fast booking process. Because there’s no quotes, negotiations, or sales calls, you get to sit back and relax while the bookings come to you.
Share your BookLive profile on all your social media channels, your website, your email signature, your posters, and your press kits.
When a client books you, you have 24 hours to review the booking and either accept, decline, or message the client. Messaging the client extends the booking offer for 48 hours. BookLive charges musicians a 5% booking fee when you’re booked. We also charge musicians for payment processing, which we do securely with Stripe. This fee is 2.9% + 30¢ cents.
After the performance, wait 24 hours to get paid. The funds will appear in your account at that time. If the client files a formal dispute during that 24 hour period, we will delay payment until we can resolve the dispute.
After you’ve performed and been paid, we'll send you an email to review your client. Keep in mind that the client can review you as well. This two-sided reviewing holds the entire BookLive community accountable and maintains high standards for our users.
